I Got To Be on Channel 10!!

This past Thursday- 4 kids from the gym (Usa Gym) got to be on Channel 10 to promote the Saturday event at Chandler mall. (promoting summer camps around the valley)

Ellie & Renee stretched out at 7:30 in the morning.
They were so silly- even that early.
Next to USA GYM was a reptile booth! AHHHH
(Ellie, Renee, Hayden & Hunter Taylor)
Renee wasn't afraid a bit. I think all of the kids ended up petting that snake.
One of the segments was promoting the science camps. Our 4 kids got their faces & shirts right in there. (alot of close up shots- ha ha)

The last spot the kids appeared in was with the Easter bunny at Chandler mall.
All together - our kids were in 3 shots.
1) The gym talking about our AWESOME summer camps. (See the website for more info!!)
(Elle did a good handstand, a back-hand spring {a lil sloppy} and she hopped around like a goof for a couple seconds- sorry Mike!)
2) The Science Guy's segment
3) The Easter Bunny.... (Ellie was getting bored.. so she decided to turn in circles instead of standing still. Corri (with Fox 10) was trying to ask all the kids what they got in their Easter baskets. When he turned to Ellie....... she was busy twirling & putting her arms in her shirt... NICE ELLE!!
It was lots of fun!
The kids got to do gymnastics, be on t.v., talk to the Easter Bunny, & we even got a $10 gift card to Paradise Bakery for being there to see the bunny. Not too shabby.
Next time, maybe I'll talk to Ellie about standing still if the camera is rolling.
.........................
OH YEAH- I never posted this!
Ellie has been setting goals for herself.
One day on the way to gymnastics, she told me that one of her goals was to learn her back handspring on the trampoline.....
Well, before we left that night she practiced a few...
She would ask me "how many fingers do you have on my back?".
Then she'd say "Take away a finger"...
When she asked me to not touch her I hesitated quite a few times.
BUT.......

As you can see we need to work on the form... but - WOW!!

She wanted to accomplish that before she was 5 - and she did!

After she learned it she proudly said "And I am STILL FOUR!!!"!

Good job Elle. Keep accomplishing your goals!!

Enjoying the Nice Weather & Our Bikes

A couple months ago, Grandma Vicki, the Gibbons, Alisse, the Hunts, & my mom & I brought our bikes to Auburns house & then rode to Discovery Park right by her house.
It was so nice outside.
("Roxy" my cousin & "Roxie" the dog at the park.)
There are lots of fun hills at Discovery Park.
We all went up & down - over & over.

Roxy would run up & down the hills.

The bad part.....
The very last time that I went.....
I ran right in to a large hole in the grass.
And I fell off my bike & crashed.
Ahh man! It hurt.
BUT- I can't wait to go there again!

In the past few months...

Ellie had been working for a very long time on "her chart".
She had to fill in 100 spaces with stickers or stamps, but the only way she could fill spaces were if she did something good. Such as: sleeping in her bed the whole night, minding the first time, cleaning messes, accomplishing her goals at gymnastics, helping out, etc.!!!

When she finally filled up her chart, she got to go shopping at Girly Girls! {yahoo}
....So many choices....
Elle ended up picking out a lil cooking set. It included a cute piggy timer, polka dot oven mitts, and a flower cake pan(?). As soon as we got home, we made some yummy brownies.

Ellie has also been busy at dance, gymnastics, playing babies, playing with friends & cousins, enjoying the nice AZ weather, riding her bike, having romantic picnics, & even swimming (freezing!)!
(Ellie still prays for twins- a brother & a sister - everytime that she prays.)

All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go

One night (back in Feb. 09) Lance {thought he} got SUNS tickets... pretty good ones - I guess.
We were all excited to go.
ELLIE WAS SO EXCITED! She got all dressed up in her purple, asked me to curl her hair, etc. (She knew she was lookin good...ha ha)

When we finally got to the arena, they told us that we had to go to the customer service desk.
(It was a good walk)
When we got there, the worker told us that someone had bought the Suns tickets online earlier that afternoon.
AH MAN!!!
Lance & I were kind of chuckling about it....
BUT NOT ELLIE!!!!

Elle was all dressed up with nowhere to go. She was so sad.
Since she looked so cute, we decided to take her out for a treat!
BAHAMA BUCKS it was!
And as you can see, that put a smile back on her face.
